Writing books is hard. It's even harder if you have no idea what you're doing. False starts, unfocused titles, unclear audiences and ever-changing ideas will all condemn you to months if not years of "not quite finished but honestly it's nearly there, no really". Having made all of these mistakes and having found out later how I could have avoided them, I decided to write this book to save you that bother.
This book will help you get clarity and purpose for your own book, so instead of spinning your wheels, every word you write will bring you closer to the finish line. Together with a heavy dose of practical and technical advice, templates and reusable styles I'll save you weeks of work in the process.
It still won't be easy. Even if you are starting from a place of limitless enthusiasm somewhere around the 6 month mark you'll start to wonder if this was a good idea after all. But that's part of the deal of writing a book. Sorry.
